The second LimmudFest - New Orleans, a celebration of Jewish learning and community with some lagniappe thrown in, will be held on March 10-11 at Tulane University.
This festival of Jewish learning, entirely organized and run by volunteers, is part of the international Limmud movement. It will bring together local Jews of all ages, interests, and denominations for a single weekend of learning and fun. Through art, dance and theater, text study and the sharing of ideas, LimmudFest will celebrate Jewish identity in New Orleans.
LimmudFest New Orleans will offer nearly 100 sessions covering everything from Israel, spirituality, text study, culture, history, tikkun olam, to film, music, and so much more.
LimmudFest offers something for everyone regardless of age or affiliation. The only agenda is to take you one step further on your Jewish journey. At LimmudFest, there are no teachers—only learners who present and then attend a session to learn from someone else. Everyone has something to teach and something to learn.
